On 17 July, the Day of International Criminal Justice provides an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of accountability for the most serious international crimes and meaningful justice for victims, survivors, and affected communities.
Justice is not achieved through legal principles alone. It requires credible investigations, capable national institutions, inclusive processes, access to redress, and sustained efforts to prevent future violations.
Global Rights Compliance (GRC) works to put these principles into practice. As an international law foundation dedicated to promoting accountability and strengthening justice systems, we translate complex international legal standards into practical tools and solutions for conflict-affected and high-risk environments.
Working alongside national authorities, justice practitioners, civil society organisations, humanitarian actors, and human rights defenders, GRC supports the documentation of violations, the safe collection and analysis of evidence, investigations and prosecutions, and legal and policy reform.
Our approach prioritises locally led and sustainable justice. Rather than substituting national capacity, we collaborate with local partners to develop procedures, protocols, methodologies, and institutional frameworks that can support accountability over the long term.
We also work to ensure that justice processes recognise and respond to the different experiences and needs of affected individuals and communities. This includes specialised approaches to crimes against and affecting children, deportation and family separation, conflict-related sexual violence, disability inclusion, and trauma-informed engagement.
The pursuit of justice also extends beyond the courtroom. GRC works to address the risk that businesses and global supply chains may contribute to serious human rights abuses and international crimes, particularly in conflict-affected and high-risk areas. Our work encompasses forced labour, labour-rights violations, natural-resource and critical-minerals supply chains, and responsible business conduct in complex environments.
Across multiple countries, GRC works to strengthen justice, protect rights, and turn international law into meaningful action.
