Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure are deliberate and inhumane – Wayne Jordash KC, President of GRC, for DW News

Wayne Jordash KC, President of Global Rights Compliance, joined the DW News podcast episode ‘Inside Europe’, to talk about war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine. He described the difficult situation after the massive Russianattacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, and emphasised that it is a deliberate Russian attack on civilian infrastructure bearing all the hallmarks of inhumane acts constituting war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“This is the worst it has been since the full-scale invasion. It is the coldest winter, I would have thought, for at least five or six years. Temperatures are at –10 to –15 °C and are expected to drop to –20 °C. And electricity, heating, and water arein very, very short supply. People are huddling around where they can find heat and light. Hospitals, healthcare services, and services for the vulnerable are stretched to the maximum. And it is all deliberate. It is all Russian deliberate attacks oncivilian infrastructure. There can be no suggestion otherwise,” said Wayne Jordash.
