GRC has released the next quarterly MyVox Snapshot Report examining labour rights complaints submitted in relation to Pakistan’s garment sector and showcasing key data collected throughout the first quarter of 2026. The report highlights how workers are reporting violations and how remedy is provided.
The data was collected through MyVox, GRC’s labour complaints documentation and monitoring tool. It serves as a centralised repository for labour rights complaints in Pakistan, enabling systematic, coordinated and real-time documentation across the country.
During the first three months of 2026, paralegals documented 978 cases involving 1,708 labour rights violations. Wage-related violations remained the most reported issue, followed by dismissal and employment benefits violations. The findings also reveal persistent gender disparities, with women continuing to report higher levels of harassment and working-hours violations.
Importantly, nearly 86% of all cases documented this quarter progressed through at least one formal or informal remedy pathway, reflecting both the effectiveness of local support mechanisms and workers’ growing confidence in pursuing remedy.
The report also shares examples of successful outcomes achieved through legal assistance and collective advocacy, including compensation for families, reinstatement of workers, and settlements following unfair dismissals.
Since 2022, GRC has partnered with the Labour Education Foundation (LEF), the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER), the National Trade Union Federation Pakistan (NTUF), Label Behind the Labour (LBL) and the Home-based Women Workers Federation (HBWWF) to promote and advance labour rights in Pakistan’s garment sector.
