Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is pleased to join the Coalition to End Forced Labour in the Uyghur Region, a renown global alliance of civil society organisations and trade unions working to end state-sponsored forced labour and other serious human rights abuses against Uyghurs and other Turkic and Muslim-majority peoples in China’s Uyghur Region.
The Coalition calls on companies across all industries to ensure that they are not supporting or benefiting from forced labour in their operations or supply chains. It advocates for responsible business conduct, urging companies to identify and address exposure to forced labour throughout their value chains and to disengage from sourcing linked to the Uyghur Region where meaningful human rights due diligence cannot be conducted.
The Coalition has often cited GRCs critical minerals research in its advocacy, and we look forward to continuing to work with its membership to promote the rights of Uyghur people.
