GRC signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU). The MoU signified a long-standing cooperation between the GRC Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs) and NPU investigators in their accountability efforts to bring perpetrators of international crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine, as well as their command, to justice.

MJTs’ Senior Prosecutor Emily Jensen expressed gratitude to the NPU for their trust in MJTs’ support, as well as reassured NPU in GRC’s determination to provide further assistance and support essential to justice efforts.

“Ukrainian investigators and prosecutors operate in an unprecedented environment of an ongoing war and multitude of registered crimes. NPU can be sure that GRC will continue doing everything it can to provide tailored and diligent support in any priority area that the NPU identifies”, Emily Jensen stressed.

Maksym Tsutskiridze, First Deputy Chief and the Head of the Main Investigation Department of the NPU, thanked MJTs for the assistance provided to date, especially in the form of trainings, workshops, and recommendations of the best practices of international crimes investigations.

“This MoU formalises a long-standing partnership and cooperation between the NPU and GRC that we are glad to continue. GRC can always rely on the National Police in the assistance they need to continue an important accountability mission of Ukraine”, Maksym Tsutskiridze said.

The Mobile Justice Teams operate as part of Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA Group), initiated by the US, EU and UK governments to help Ukraine in bringing to justice those responsible for crimes committed during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
