GRC Mock Trial 2025: Online Registration is Open

From 29–30 October 2025, GRC will host a Mock Trial, bringing together investigators, prosecutors, defence solicitors, psychologists, victim support professionals, and judges from across Ukraine for a realistic simulation of a war crimes trial.

This year’s case focuses on crimes committed during the occupation of a Ukrainian town and examines the challenges of prosecuting war crimes involving children. Over two and a half days, participants will move through key pre-trial and trial stages, practising child-sensitive interviewing, age-appropriate questioning, and progressive litigation techniques in a collaborative setting.

👉 Online attendees are welcome to observe the   whole proceedings and gain insight from real-time practice

The Mock Trial is part of the activities of the GRC’s Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs), which are part of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA). The ACA is a multilateral initiative established by the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the United States to support and assist Ukrainian law enforcement and prosecutors in investigating and prosecuting international crimes committed during a full-scale war.
