GRC Joins the B4Ukraine Coalition

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is pleased to join the Business for Ukraine Coalition (B4Ukraine), an initiative driven by organisations and individuals committed to promoting the responsible exit of businesses from the Russian market in response to Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

B4Ukraine brings together civil society groups, think tanks and researchers, social enterprises, and concerned professionals united by a common purpose: to block access to the economic and financial resources enabling Russian aggression.

The Coalition encourages companies that have already cut ties with Russia to uphold these commitments, while urging those that remain in the Russian market to leave. It also calls on businesses to respect human rights by undertaking heightened human rights due diligence, regardless of whether they operate in sectors subject to sanctions or export controls.

GRC’s membership builds on its longstanding work to advance justice, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and promote respect for international legal standards in conflict-affected settings. It also reflects GRC’s work on business and human rights, including corporate accountability, corporate responsibility and the role of companies operating in contexts affected by armed conflict.

GRC is honoured to contribute its legal expertise to the Coalition’s efforts to support effective due diligence and help ensure that business activities are conducted in a manner that does not contribute to international crimes or serious human rights violations.
