GRC at the Ukrainian Week of International Criminal Justice

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is pleased to participate in the Ukrainian Week of International Criminal Justice, organised by the Center for Civil Liberties – a series of events bringing together legal practitioners, international law experts, representatives of civil society organisations, and state institutions. This year’s programme will examine legislative initiatives, political decisions, constitutional challenges, and the role of civil society, state institutions, and Ukraine’s international partners in shaping a modern framework of criminal responsibility for international crimes.

As part of the programme, Maksym Vishchyk, Mobile Justice Team Lead and Legal Research Coordinator at GRC, will speak on 17 July during Workshop 1 titled “Analysing the Draft Bill: War Crimes Against Persons”. Participants will examine proposed legislative amendments on war crimes, aimed at bringing Ukrainian legislation in line with international criminal law standards.

This year’s Ukrainian Week of International Criminal Justice is being held under the theme “Ten Years on the Path to Justice”, reflecting on a decade of legislative reform, institutional development, and collaborative efforts to strengthen accountability for international crimes in Ukraine.
