Maksym Vishchyk is a legal advisor specialising in public international law, with a particular focus on international criminal, humanitarian and human rights law. In the latest years, Maksym has been a part of various GRC projects focusing on strengthening Ukraine’s capacity to investigate, prosecute and adjudicate international crimes, including Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs), MATRA-Ukraine and “International Law and Defining Russia’s Involvement in Crimea and Donbas”.
Maksym also teaches public international law and international human rights law in the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy mentoring new generations of international lawyers in Ukraine. He is also a PhD candidate with the Kyiv-Mohyla International and European Law Department with a research focus on the crime of genocide.
