Global Rights Compliance (GRC) and C4ADS invite you to a two-day, in-person workshop taking place on 9–10 September 2025 in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul.

The event will bring together researchers, analysts, journalists, investigators, and activists to unpack the complex machinery behind the DPRK’s overseas forced labour system.

Participants will explore the legal frameworks, investigative methodologies — both open-source and traditional — and examine the roles of China and Russia.

Who Should Attend:

Investigators: Professionals who investigate and document cases of human rights violations.

Journalists and Media Professionals: Those reporting on issues related to North Korea and international human rights.

Civil Society Actors and Human Rights Activists: Individuals engaged with domestic or international CSOs working on human rights, labour rights, migrant rights and/or directly responsing to issues on the groun.

Researchers and Academics: Scholars specialising in areas such as North Korea, international law, forced labour, and human rights.

This is more than a training: it is a collaborative space for sharing insights, tools, and strategies to uncover and confront one of the world’s most secretive forced labour networks.
