GRC Joins the Ukrainian Child Rights Network

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is pleased to join the Ukrainian Child Rights Network (UCRN).

The Network brings together civil society organisations working to strengthen the protection of children’s rights in Ukraine and support the implementation of international and European standards in the field of child protection.  UCRN’s members are united by a common mission to promote the best interests of children through advocacy, support for social service reform, decentralisation initiatives, the development of national monitoring systems, and engagement with government on issues affecting children and their families.

Since 2015, GRC has provided legal and technical support in the documentation, investigation, and prosecution of international crimes in Ukraine, including crimes against and affecting children.

One of GRC’s key areas of work is strengthening child-friendly justice and ensuring that accountability processes are guided by the best interests of children. Through our Child Justice Team, we support efforts to improve the criminal justice system’s response to crimes involving children by promoting trauma-informed, victim-centred, and child-sensitive approaches to investigations and prosecutions.

Working alongside Ukrainian institutions, civil society organisations, and international partners, GRC contributes to the development of practical tools, guidance, and procedures that help ensure children’s rights, needs, and voices are considered throughout accountability processes.

GRC is honoured to join the Ukrainian Child Rights Network and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to its work.  We look forward to contributing our expertise and supporting UCRN’s mission.
