Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is pleased to participate in the side event “Domestic War Crimes Adjudication in Ukraine: A Driver of International Law and Justice”, organised by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) on 5 October 2026.
Wayne Jordash KC, President of GRC, will take part in the discussion, which will examine the relationship between the domestic adjudication of war crimes in Ukraine and international law, including the principle of complementarity, the appropriate qualification and documentation of violations, and the application of international criminal law, international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
Against the backdrop of Ukraine’s growing body of national jurisprudence on international crimes, the panel will also explore the role of domestic courts in advancing the enforcement and development of international humanitarian law and international criminal law, drawing on the types of international crime cases currently being considered by Ukrainian courts.
